At one particular evening a friend of mine came over for dinner. Although I shouldn't say he was a friend per se; more of an acquantaince. We shared Multimedia Illustration class in college. We rarely talked to each other and the most social interaction we had between us was a brief glance and a mumble of greeting. I'm not usually the one who would ask random acquantainces to dinner. I hardly ask anyone to dinner as a matter of fact. It's just that something about him attracts me in a way.
Not a romantic attraction mind you;more like a strong interest to know more about him, like a scientist would disect a frog to know more about it's inner biological machinery and asking him to come over is a form of figurative dissecting. No harm in that.
The look on his face when I stated my invitation tells me he doesn't usually been asked for dinner from strange classmates before. I can't blame him, really.
He agreed nevertheless and told me he will come around the appointed time
